Well, I was only going to do 30 days of this blog, but I want to get to the point where I'm feeling really good to give someone else going through this some hope. As it stands right now I'm only feeling about 60% up to snuff, so maybe I'll stop when I reach 80%? We'll see. I've still not been very motivated to walk. Probably should do that. I slept pretty well last night, so that was good! Still waking up at least once - have been doing that for YEARS to go pee, so I'm loving that I can just close my eyes and go back to sleep! I got up around 8am and then putzed around straightening things up. My dad and his girlfriend stopped by for a visit (they live about an hour and a half away) on their way to visit his half sister and her husband who were in town for the day in Tampa. We had a nice visit, and we were able to serve them lunch with some of the leftovers from the meals we've been receiving. Thursday was the last meal to be brought to us, so we're going to have to up our game and make meals ourself! After my dad and girlfriend left I took a very nice nap! I think today I was supposed to clean my stoma but I didn't feel like it so I didn't. I'm on antibiotics so hopefully no infections will happen. After I woke up I got ready for our church's Christmas program and then Tim and me and 2 of our kids hopped in the car and went to church, while our other 2 kids joined us from a Christmas party they had been at. It was the first time I had been to church in over a month, and I was super happy to be there, especially with my whole family! I even wore my own clothes, including a Christmas sweater. Not the most comfortable outfit in the world (still preferring my friend's dresses), but it worked. Here's a family photo we snapped in the lobby:
We got home, ate some dinner, and then I rested the remainder of the evening. All in all, a good day.
