Blechness!!

Hey, everyone!  I hope y'all have had a good week so far.

Yesterday we pulled into our campsite here in New Jersey at about 4:30 - 5:00 PM.  The drive wasn't too bad - only about two and a half hours.  Our campsite, on the other hand, wasn't too good.  Actually, we ended up not staying in a campsite - we just parked in the parking lot. :-) We knew, this being a State Forest/Park, that there was no hookup.  But when Mom called yesterday, she found out that there was no place to dump the RV or to do laundry.  Just bathrooms, and since we didn't go in those, we don't even know if they had showers.  So while Mom was in the office talking to a very kind lady, Dad and Nicholas went to drive around in the car and check out the campsites.  They came back with bad news: everything was muddy and uneven.  Mom asked the lady if we just stay where we were in the parking lot, and she agreed.

Then we all loaded up in the car - including the veggies, chickens, and spices in the back - and drove off to our relatives' house.  Before we left, Nathan and I figured out online that this was our cousin (Aunt Christy's daughter), our cousin -in-law (her husband), and our first cousin once removed (their son).  Our 'first cousin once removed' is the cutest little boy EVER!!!  He's about 2 years old (I'm going to call him D), and he's pretty smart for his age.  His parents take real good care of him - he eats avacadoes!  I don't eat avacadoes, and my mom didn't even try one until she was about 30.  Anyway, we had a good time at their house - my brothers and I watched Cash Cab while the adults made dinner and watched over D.  Eventually us kids turned off the TV (actually, it was a projector! Cool, huh?), went back downstairs and hung out until dinner was ready.  Dinner was really good, and after convincing my mom to let us watch at least part of The Spy Next Door instead of going home, the four of us trekked back upstairs and settled down on the bed to watch the movie.  We ended up watching the whole thing - well, most of it, anyway.  The DVD was a little messed up and it would freeze and then skip a big part, which kind of stunk, but it only did it, like, two times.  We went back down the stairs, said goodbye to everyone, and jumped back in the car for the drive back.

We found a good campground only about fifteen minutes (according to them) away from New York, so we packed up this morning and we're on our way now.  It's a gorgeous day today, and I can't wait to walk around New York this afternoon.  We're also going to go into the Big Apple tomorrow morning, and that's that.  Of course we're going to up the Empire State Building, so we'll make sure and get some good pictures.

One more thing: yesterday night, after everyone was in bed, I got up to get some water.  I took a cup out of the dish drainer and filled it up - all the way - with some water.  As soon as I tasted it, I realized that it hadn't been thoroughly rinsed: it still had some soap left in it.  Blechness!!

OK, now I'm done.  :-)  Can't wait to hear from y'all!  God bless!!

OK, so now we have a new word "blechness", is it an adjective or a noun? You are a true educator. Glad you are enjoying nice weather again, it is just lovely here in good ole FLA. Does the new camera still work,(hint hint). As it is now Sunday the 9th, You are already in the Big Apple,I hope you have or had an apple pie day.
