Wacky Wednesday Wonders

Hi, all!  :)  I hope everyone had a wonderful and succesful day!!

First of all, some of my friends on cyberspace have things on their blogs like 'Fun Fact Friday'. Here they list a few funny facts that they have discovered.  So I'm going to copy their idea (yep, I'm a copycat)  and have a 'Wacky Wednesday Wonders' on my blog - yeah, it's pretty cheesy, but it's the best thing I could come up with for Wednesday, because I wanted to do it today. :)  So there!  :)  Here are today's Wacky Wonders:

1. The Romans invented popsicles.
2. Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush be kept at least 6 feet away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.  (Whatever that means :) haha).
3. 15% of Americans secretly bite their toes.
4. Eskimos do not gamble.
5. The name for Oz in "The Wizard of Oz" was made when the creator, Frank Baum, looked at his filing cabinet and saw O-Z, hence "Oz."

There we go!!

Now for the real stuff:  Last night I woke up two times to discover my air mattress was slowly leaking air.  Lovely.  I was so tired I didn't care and went back to sleep.  Now that I think of it, if felt as if I was lying on the ground with puffs of air holding me up in various places.  I wasn't exactly comfortable, but I slept like a baby until my dad woke me up at 7:30 AM.  I was still half asleep until I got a shower.  Boy, did it feel good!!  I used the showers in the restroom that is, like, twenty feet from out RV, right next to the Activity Center.  The showers were awesome - great water pressure, warm water, and no bugs flying around!  Five star showers!! :)

We spent the morning, until about noon, touring Fort Sumter.  To get there we rode a ferry called The Spirit of the Lowcountry, which was three stories high!  It was cool.  We had so much fun at the fort; did you know that the first shots fired of the Civil War were actually from Fort Johnson, not Fort Sumter?  Fort Johnson bombarded Fort Sumter, and then Fort Sumpter fired back.  Anyway, our visit there was very educational and interesting.  The fort was only a story high, but originally it had been three stories high!!  It was amazing.  Back at the RV, we ate lunch outside and then cleaned up.  Not shortly aftwerwards Mom, Nicholas and I went to the beach while Noah and Dad went to the nearby climbing wall and watched Nathan climb.  The picture above is a messy picture of Mom and I (obviously) at the beach.  Here is a picture of a butterfly I found floating on the water:

Needless to say, after a long, full day, I won't have any trouble sleeping tonight!!  God bless!!!

    A Lot about Me,
    Nicole Gregory:

I am your untypical 13-year-old girl (well, I like to think of myself that way). :)  I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I try my best to obey my awesome God.  I like writing and enjoy reading even more. My favorite Christian author is Nancy Rue.  My two favorite colors are teal and fuchsia.  I love animals, especially dolphins, dogs, cats, and horses.  My favorite Christian radio stations are JoyFM and K-Love, and some of my favorite  Christian singers and bands are Francesca Battistelli, Britt Nicole, Chris Tomlin, Matthew West, J.J.Heller, Mandisa, MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Sidewalk Prophets...the list goes on and on and on.  I am home-schooled and I love it!  I lovespending time with the wonderful friends God has blessed me with!  I love my family who I always thank God for.  :)  By the way, I am a TRIPLET, with three brothers, Nathan, Noah, and the youngest by a year and a half, Nicholas.  God has blessed me abundantly, and I can't wait to see what He has in store! God bless!!
