OK, even if you aren't interested and even if I bore you to death and even if you never want to read my blog again, you are going to get a full report of what happened today. :) We talked with a few former neighbors, and after we ate lunch in the RV, my mom and I went and took showers at the YMCA (I'm going to have the silly YMCA song stuck in my head for the rest of the night now). We didn't take too long, and after about a half an hour back at the ranch, Mom and I dropped off the boys at the Y to take their showers, and then Mom dropped me off at the library. Then my mom went to our storage unit and picked up a spare key from a friend (yes, we temporarily lost the keys to the storage units). She looked in our unit for our library cards, didn't find them (yeah, we temporarily lost those, too), and then headed to the Y to get her hair ready and pick up the boys. She came and picked up Noah and I (and, after getting Noah and I each another free library card, picked up my books on hold and Noah's). I was reading the books the whole time. :-) I finally got Piercing the Darkness!!! Hallelujah! :-) Anyway, then we went straight to church and arrived only about a half an hour late. We watched the service among a few scattered people up in the balcony, and then we mingled with people in the lobby. It was great!!
So, now here I am, after a delicious dinner. Actually, before dinner I watched the boys play Ping-Pong in our neighbor's house. :-) I probably did end up boring you to death, but I still have one more thing to share with you. Yesterday on the drive here I wrote a poem. It's not a genius poem or anything, but while I was writing it, I felt God nudging me to write down certain things. And afterwards I was bubbling with joy - like a chocolate milkshake! :-) Hope you like it!!
Lined paper, hand towels, and carpeted floors,
Soft tissues, pillows, and arms that aren't sore;
Curtains, zippers, and snack bags galore,
Just might be some things that I'm thankful for.
Talks with my mom and Dad's daily hugs,
Games with my brothers and their loving shoves;
Prayer, the Bible, and kisses from above,
Just might be some of the things that I love.
