A day of rest

Sorry - no new pictures here.  Hopefully tomorrow, though!  We attended a local church here this morning, and the people were very friendly.  Must be that Southern Hospitality!  Someone even gave us 6 free Chik-fil-a dinner coupon cards.   Tim took Nathan & Nicholas to some local tennis courts this afternoon, while Nicole & I played Scrabble and Noah played the Wii and did some exploring outside.  When Tim got home he had bought some frozen pizzas that didn't fit in the freezer and since we had never really had lunch and it wasn't quite supper time (only like 3:30 or 4pm) we made up a new word and had lupper.  Why does breakfast and lunch get all the glory with the word brunch?  We think lupper should be a word, too, and will be appealing to Webster soon.  :-)

Do you ever get to the end of a day and feel like you missed out on something ?  I feel that way now, and I think it's because we didn't do our usual Sunday morning  'little church'  (where we all bring our own passages and songs and worship together as a family) and we didn't do our usual Sunday evening blessings tonight (where we speak blessings over each child).  I'm not sure why we didn't do that - it was just one of those days where we weren't very purposeful (besides going to church this morning) and I guess that's OK sometimes.  I can be quite ambitious and want every day to feel spirtually purposeful and meaningful - I guess I'm still learning what a day of rest means.  Well, I suppose I should be signing off if I hope to have a purposeful and meaningful day tomorrow and not be dragging around!  Please keep praying for us to gel together in the Spirit and find our niche that God has called us to.  Blessings to all!

Rest easy traveling family - your niche will find you, eventually. In the meantime enjoy each and every moment together and learn your way across the country!
By the way - we call our meal between lunch and dinner "linner" :o)
Maybe if you make it to central Texas (before we leave on our RV adventure) we could meet!
Blessings on another new day in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

If you plan on going to National Parks I encourage you to get the National Park Passport book. I am sure you have room for it in your family room> :D If you don't purchase it you can still get stamps from each park to put in your own travel book. Was that Fort Clinch the other day?

Actually the word is "Linner," lunch/dinner. Super or Dinner -depending on what part of the country you are from. My girls made that one up!
I love reading your blogs and remember we are praying for you!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
