Sounds almost like the title of a book 'My brother and a Pastor's Retreat' - LOL! My brother drove all the way from Miami last Friday to spend some time with us - we had such a nice visit! He even dropped us off at the airport on Saturday, which was the only picture I got of his visit with us! Tim and I were invited to serve as a Host Couple again for a pastor's retreat that we had served at before 2 years ago around this time, so we left on Saturday the 8th and just got back on Valentine's Day! It's held at this amazing place called The Ark on Lake Lanier (check out more about it here: https://arkonlakelanier.com/), and we had the privilege to sit with and listen and care for pastors and their wives. These retreats are put on by Intentional Marriage (find out more about them here: http://www.intentionalmarriage.org/), and we have just fallen in love with Vince and Allison, the founders and leaders. I don't have any pictures with the couples there for obvious reasons, but here are some pictures of us with my brother when he dropped us off at the airport, and then the view from the hotel room they put us up in the first night (look at the snow!), and then this cute little snowman someone made outside the restaurant we ate at, and finally the little apartment we were given on the property, and the beautiful sunset we enjoyed on one of our walks while we were there. It looks like a vacation, but there was some heavy stuff going on with these couples, and we were just so grateful to be able to serve pastors and their wives in this way!

Tim was away this past weekend serving at a Fully Alive (check out more info on that ministry here: https://elevatehim.com/fullyalive/), and my dear friend Laura (aka Lala) drove a friend down from North Carolina so that her friend could go to Fully Alive, and then Laura and I spent the weekend together! I kept wanting to take her to the beach, but the weather never cooperated, and she was just as content to simply hang out together, which I enjoyed immensely! If you've read my blog at all over the past 10 years since it's inception you'll see pictures of Laura and Scott and their sweet family throughout. The 4 of us have known each other for over 30 years, and I'm so grateful for such a lasting and enduring friendship! Here are a couple of pictures I took while she was here. The first one is with another mutual friend that we were able to enjoy dinner with. So grateful we had this time together!
