Brrrrr!

Thursday and Friday night they shut off the water in our campground because it got down below freezing and they didn't want the pipes to freeze.  So last night at about 5:30pm I notice our propane gauge was on empty.  The campground office closes at like 4pm, so you may remember another time we were on empty and we still had propane to help keep us warm throughout the night.  I think we forgot to pray about that last night, because Nicole woke up at like 3am and noticed the thing was blowing cold air.  So she wisely turned it off and then snuggled deep into her covers.  I woke up at like 5am with my head freezing, and never really got back to sleep until Tim got up around 7am and started the engine and blew that heat back to the rest of the camper.  Amazingly, that heated the whole camper so well we had to turn it off in short order.  Hopefully that will teach us to keep a better eye on the gauge!  We had a nice morning having Little Church together, and then it warmed up very nicely today where the kids could go outside without jackets!  It turned out to be a beautiful day, and then this evening we had dinner together and then had extended blessings.  Typically, on blessings night, Tim and I each bless 2 of the kids.  However, tonight, we started early (thanks to the extra hour we gained last night!) and Tim began the time talking about 10 intimacy needs (acceptance, affection, appreciation, approval, attention, comfort, encouragement, respect, security, and support), and how we can meet the needs of others especially if they let us know what they are.  It's a concept we have taught in our marriage classes, and felt it was a good time to teach it in the context of sibling relationships.  It was really cool how they grasped the concepts pretty quickly and were able to communicate ways in which they personally had these needs and ways they could meet these needs in each other.  We then did our normal blessings time, and then another thing we do on a regular basis is ask if there are any hurts in the family that may not have been dealt with.  So we did that - a couple people shared some hurts, apologies were offered, forgiveness was given, and then we closed in prayer.  All in all, a very nice day!

Wow, what a BLESSING I receive each morning when I excitedly connect with all of you... You may remember that I wished I could be a little "mouse" and travel with you! Well, I feel like that little "mouse" when I read "our" adventures. I am still not sure what it is that you desire to "make" of this trip but I assure you that you are "MAKING IT"!!! The kids are receiving much and I know God has a SPECIAL PLAN for each of them. It will be exciting to see what they will be ministering in their lifetime! Sure hope I can see you when you come back for a short time. Maybe I can leave with you and see the WEST... Love you...

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
