Colorado Springs day 2

We've all been missing the corporate worship we normally get every Sunday, so today, instead of Little Church, we went ahead and drove to a church in this area called New Life Church.  We all really liked it, and afterward they have a reception for visitors.  So we moseyed over to that and struck up a conversation with Pastor Jeff, and just really hit it off with him.  He's studying to get a degree in counseling, so he and Tim had fun talking about that.  He wanted to show us their prayer center, so we walked over there with him.  As we were leaving each other, he took a picture of us in front of the prayer center and then Nicole took a picture of Tim and me with him:
The church is right across the street from the Air Force Academy, so we thought we'd try to go to the visitor's center there, but our GPS took us to the wrong exit and we would have had to turn around and go in the opposite direction and we were all pretty hungry, so we came home to have lunch.  After lunch the boys played some card games while Nicole read and I took a luxurious nap (about 15 minutes - but that's all I need!)!  After I got up, the triplets were up for some more sight seeing, while Tim and Nicholas wanted to hang out in the RV.  So the 4 of us drove over to Glen Eyrie where The Navigators is based and tried to get in to see the castle, but they were having a wedding there.  It is right down the street from Garden of the Gods, so we stopped into the visitor center and snapped some pictures.  We saw a similar phenomenon with the sky that we saw at Pikes Peak - where streaks of rain/sunlight looked like rainbows coming out of the clouds - it was so cool to see it again.  We drove through Garden of the Gods and saw some cool bighorn sheep.  Here are some of the pictures we shot:
We saw some rock climbers and decided we needed to go back and get Nicholas because he would love climbing around on the rocks.  It was only about 5 minutes away, so we came back, nabbed him, Nicole stayed behind, so the 3 boys and I headed out.  They climbed around in Garden of the Gods for more than an hour before we headed home.  I snapped a couple pictures of them at this place called balancing rock:
Then we came home, had dinner, watched the tail end of the Olympics closing ceremonies, got ready for bed and said prayers.  Tomorrow is a LONG travel day, so please pray for safety!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Blessings.

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
