Ethiopian Restaurant

Our friends made us an offer we couldn't refuse - they took our kids this afternoon so we could get a date lunch in.  You can tell we're getting old, because all we wanted to do was come back to the camper and organize, so that's exactly what we did.  It felt GREAT to work together and decide on where to put all our stuff.  George Carlin has a great routine on 'Stuff' I heard years ago - I need to look that up again.  Anyway, after the organization we all went to an Ethiopian Restaurant and had a great culture experience with new food and no utensils!  There were 15 of us (9 in their family, and 6 in ours) and the waitresses couldn't have been nicer and more patient with us and all our kids!  We then came back to their house and let the kids play while we got some talk time in.  They're a special family who we just enjoy thoroughly.  Looking forward to attending church with them tomorrow, so I'd better hit the hay!

Dear Jodie, Tim, Nicole, Nicholas, Nathan, & Noah,

I am a teacher in Port Charlotte and read Christy's email about your amazing adventure. I thought I would just "check it out." Well an hour (or more) later, I've read everyone's blog as well as the newspaper articles and watched the news clip. I so admire your faith and your courage to jump and know that God will be there to catch you!
I've always said that I would like to have my own children visit all 50 states before they graduate from high school. I don't know if it will happen, but I am inspired by your blogs!
Kids: Learn a lot from each of your stops. Keep up your blogs to record all the great things you see and do! And print them if you can....one day you'll have some fabulous stories to tell your own kids!

God Bless and Safe Travels,
Marie

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
