Glasses for Coco

I was at Publix last night with Nicole and Nathan, and Nicole mentioned something about her eyesight.  I did a quick little test by asking her if she could read a sign that I could clearly see (and my eyesight is not the best) and she could not read it at all.  Yikes.  I was in 5th grade when I got my first pair of glasses.  I remember my mom said she felt so badly because my whole family would point out things that I said I couldn't see and they would kind of tease me about it.  They thought I just wasn't paying attention.  :-)  That began my 30 year battle with eyewear (I just never liked glasses or contacts) until I finally did lasik!  I've been so happy to be eyewear free for the past 7 years!!  But now, the saga begins with my daughter.  I was really hoping all the kids would get Tim's eyesight.  I guess 3 out of 4 ain't bad.  :-)  Anyway, one more reason I'm glad we're here at this time and not on the road trying to figure out what to do for her.  Same thing for my tooth.  I have received some good recommendations for dentists from friends and I will be contacting them today and figuring out which direction I should go in this.  Don't get me wrong, we are still convinced we will be going back on the road, so it is not a matter of if, but of when.  We had a great time with 2 other couples Saturday night after church, and they were asking how the kids are doing being in this limbo state.    We said they were doing great, and we followed up by asking them yesterday during Little Church how they were doing.  They concurred they were all doing great.  Noah said he was hoping we could go back out on the road in the not too distant future because he thinks if this drags out for a long time he will want to get back into a house, but that right now he's fine.  My sentiments exactly!  Thank you for your continued prayers as we wait.  Blessings!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
