Sorry it's been 3 days since my last update (and a whiney one at that!). Thank you for your prayers for the weather - it has cleared and we have been enjoying some beautiful fall weather. We stopped here at Liberty Park for the next hour or so to enjoy a great view of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, and a fun playground. When we left our campsite in Pennsylvania a couple days ago, we landed at a campground in New Jersey that was just not set up for us (the sites were muddy and narrow and sloped), so they were very gracious and let us park in the parking lot near the office for the night. The office lady was SO nice to us - it was such a blessing. We drove over to my neice's house that evening and had a wonderful dinner with her, her husband, and their almost 2 year old baby boy who I finally was able to meet - what a cutie! Then yesterday we drove into Jersey City and camped at a parking lot RV campground at the marina with a view of the harbor, Statue of Liberty, the skyline - it was incredible! We caught a subway just a couple blocks from our campsite and took it into the city, first to the World Trade Center where we saw the memorial and the work being done there. And then we caught a cab to the Empire State Building and rode to the top - it was just breathtaking!! The subway nearby brought us right back to within a couple blocks of our campsite! This morning we were going to catch the ferry to Ellis Island, but we all really needed showers and to do laundry, so we went ahead and took the time and we're all very glad we did. The ferry would have cost us a pretty penny, and the next available tickets to go up in her crown are for some time in December, so we wouldn't have been able to do that anyway. We found this park, and we are so close to her we feel like we're on her island anyway! Tonight we're going to head towards Boston and stop at a Walmart along the way. I'll try to post some pictures later today or tomorrow.

It has been several days since I wrote to you. Things have been busy around here. The weather is GREAT... 50's at night and 80's in the day time. Your messages are blessed ones and I am happy for you and yours. Cap and I will be leaving Tuesday morning for New Hampshire. A daughter and her family are there and we will be going to the largest Pumpkin Festival anywhere. Check out the web site: Pumpkinfestival.org. Thousands of people come to Keene, NH. It is a town of 20,000. This is their BIG happening! We will be there for a week and attending a volleyball game (14 yr. old granddaughter) and a football game (12 yr. old grandson). So our calendar is full. That is the way of LIFE as you have come to know! Thank you for blessing all of us with your "BOOK"! I look forward to reading it early every mornng. God loves all of you and He is truly blessing you... Love, Karol

Sounded like the stop at Walmart was going to be as exciting to you as the trip to Boston its self. Now that the "Big Dig" is complete Boston will be SO exciting and beautiful
