What a B-E-A-U-tiful day! We went to the Children's Museum (again, with our MOSI passes) on the Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. It was so nice there! Nicole and I never actually spent any time IN the museum. There was a craft room on the first floor and the craft of the day was creating cards (like trading cards). So I hung out with her while she did her cards, except for a short time that Tim and I snuck away outside to eat lunch together (see unflattering picture of us below) while the kids were engaged in the museum. A little while later the kids ate lunch, and then Nicole & I walked to Michigan Ave (which they call the Magnificent Mile) – we were told they also call it the Rodeo Drive of Chicago – and we went to the American Girl store. We had fun walking around, but I think we were both struck at how little we desired anything. Even walking down Michigan Ave on our way there, all the stores held very little lure to us at all. Maybe if we’re here again at a different time in our lives it will be different, but right now I’m still loving our downsized life. Anyway, the boys came around 5pm and picked us up so we didn’t have to walk all the way back, and then we had fun fighting rush hour traffic coming back to our camper. :-) Here are the pictures I was trying to load last night, along with some photos from today. Don't forget to click on them to see the captions. Enjoy!
