I woke up at 5:30 this morning to it being completely light outside! But we are an hour behind our hometown time zone, so it was really 6:30 our time, so that doesn’t sound as bad. I guess we won’t be seeing the Eastern time zone for a couple more months now. We all had our quiet times and then had a late breakfast, and then…. Little Church! It was a sweet time of sharing the word and songs together. And then, we hit the beach! What an absolutely gorgeous day! Below are some pictures from that excursion. Nicholas was so funny with waves - he would talk to them and throw an elbow at them and punch them and then jump up and throw his arms up like he was surrending to them. Nicole and I were having a fun time watching his little interactions! Then he came in from the water and she and he tossed the frisbee for a bit. Nathan started digging a hole to China, but ended up just getting a about a foot down and lying in it. :-) The next picture is of Nicholas digging, Noah walking, and Nathan & Tim tossing the football. The rest of the pictures are self-explanatory. We came back in from the beach, got showers, and then took off for a Father's Day dinner on gift cards (see below): Tim and I sent the kids out to the car while we finished paying the bill and gathering our stuff. Well, when we walked out to an empty car we looked around and found our creative children playing a game of 'race over the parking lot curbs in only 2 steps' and 'hop from one curb to the next'. Maybe I should have been upset that they didn't go straight to the car, but the parking lot was pretty empty and they were having a great time, so I snapped a picture instead. :-) Pick your battles, they say. Then Nicholas and Nicole started robot dancing to the song on the radio, and that was the grand finale of our wonderful Father's Day. :-) And finally, Nicole snapped this picture of me blogging about our day as my bear looks on... Hope everyone had a fantastic Father's Day!! Blessings to all!
