More exposure...

This just seems crazy to me but Bay News 9 is coming this afternoon to interview us for a story, and tomorrow morning we are driving our RV to the studio lot of the show Daytime for an interview with them.  God must have some bigger plans than I ever anticipated for all of this!  The Daytime interview is scheduled to air this Monday at 10am.  I'll post information on when the Bay News 9 story will air when I have it.
As I posted last, we arrived back home Monday night, and then yesterday we drove down to Port Charlotte to celebrate my mom's birthday!!  It was a very nice day.  When we arrived back home last night we realized we had left our garage door open all day!!  We walked in to everything just as we had left it, included the chocolate I had brought back from Switzerland for my sister laying on the floor where I had evidently dropped it on our way out, so I didn't have it to give to her yesterday (sorry Christy!).  I really love our neighborhood!  Gonna miss it for sure.  I think I put my emotions about this move on hold while we were in Switzerland, but now that we're back I'm feeling so many things - excitement and anticipation and sadness and stress.  Yet in the midst of all that I'm experiencing a great peace.  It's really nice!  Well, much to do, much to do, so I'd best get at it!  Until next time....blessings to all!

Hey from Texas! Just a word of encouragement in your adventure. Have a FANTASTIC time! I'm sharing my blogs above in hopes that they help in your planning. We went 13 months in an RV to 29 countries (including a focus on our U.S. National Parks), returning last July (my 3 kids and me while my husband flew in to join us, as he continued working). Anyway, just hoping it helps and to let you know that you will NEVER REGRET your time together and the wonderful adventures that you'll share. Have a blessed journey!

Hey, 2 quick things:
1. On http://www.travbuddy.com/TessaHill/blogs, on the last page of Part IV of our trip is an AP article that tells of other family travel that might interest you.

2. Just yesterday someone sent me an article about the Crafton family of 5 on a boat for 7 years. (Dad was a family psychologist too)- I think you'll find it encouraging too: http://www.newsoxy.com/world/crafton-family-seven-years-at-sea-14071.html

3. Email me if I can help with anything! I put it above or you can reach me via the TravBuddy site.

Hope your preparation is going smoothly. Soon it will be "forward planning" as Carla of Worldtrek (and my neighbor) says! :)

I just heard about your family adventure today on the news and have saved your blog site so that I can follow along. I am a teacher who has given serious consideration to home schooling our youngest (4 oldest are all young adults on their own). I've also previously looked at a few blogs about families who have traveled in the way that you are about to. Maybe one day we will do the same. I will be thinking of you and enjoying your blogs. Good luck, congrats, and God bless.

I am jealous. Our work kept us in St Petersburg. I invite you to Sunday Services at 10 am www.pagcurch.org
We stream those services live every Sunday and our youth group is fantastic.
I know some adults that have rv'd cross country and enjoy it but you are brave. I pray for you and your family and all of your machinery.

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
