New Orleans day 2

At about 4:30 this morning, my wonderful husband and my sweet son (Nicholas) took a 2 hour drive and recovered my phone from the rest area in Mississippi!!  They totally ROCK!  We were eating breakfast when they arrived home, so after that, we packed up lunch and headed for downtown again.  We actually all still love children's museums, and our MOSI passes got us in free to the one in New Orleans.  All 4 kids said it was one of the best ones we've been to, and I would have to agree.  Again, compliments of Nicole and her camera, I have a few pictures to share, mainly of the bubble room because bubbles is one of her most favorite things on earth!   We didn't get any of Nicholas, because he was enjoying the freedom of doing his own thing.  One of the coolest things was a pitching cage where it would clock your pitch with a softball.  Nathan got up to 55 mph!  Anyway, here are some bubble pictures and a few other pics, too:
From there we drove over and caught a ferry to Algiers point and got a great view of the New Orleans skyline!
And finally, we drove to Bourbon street just to say we had been there, but we had no desire to get out and walk around.  We did pull over by St. Louis Cathedral and shot a couple of pictures there:
As we pulled into our campground after a long and satisfying day, I came up with this hairbrained idea that I wanted to go bike riding.  So I grabbed Nicholas and off we went to explore this state park we have been in but haven't seen most of it.  We made it maybe a mile down the road when I decided it would be a good idea to try to swing my bike around and try to navigate it in between a small space between two curbs.  Long story short, that didn't work too well, so after finding myself on the ground with skinned toes on my right foot, and a sknned ankle and knee on my left foot, I called the first responder (my husband), and he and Nathan came to my rescue. Nathan rode the bike back for me with Nicholas, while Tim attended to my wounds and gave me a ride back to the camper.  Remind me the next time I get a hairbrained idea to go in a different direction, OK?  After some ibuprophen and band-aids, I think I'm gonna make it.  Oh the joys of getting old and uncoordinated!  Well, tomorrow we pull out for Texas.  Please be praying for safe travel and no more phones going into trash cans!  Blessings!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
