Still in Charlotte...

Do you like our camping spot last night?  Lovely trees.  Level site.  If you look just above our camper you may be able to make out a sign that says, "BRAKES".  Why would they have a sign that says "BRAKES"  in a campground?  Well, they wouldn't.  We stayed in the parking lot of Denver Tire because when we went to pick up our fixed camper last night - you guessed it, it ain't fixed.  This has been the deal.  We've had this intermittent problem with the A/C for awhile, so when we had it 'fixed' in Florida, it worked for a little while and then the problem showed up again.  Denver Tire had checked it 2 times before calling us to say it was ready, and then when we pulled up the manager was sitting in the driver seat with a worried look on his face.  I jumped into the passenger seat and knew why - it wasn't blowing cold.  They're going to replace the high limit switch (whatever that is) this morning for just the cost of the part and see if that fixes it.  They've been REALLY great to work with - it's just that intermittent problems are the WORST!  When I worked in customer assistance at IBM I always dreaded the intermittent problem, because 9 times out of 10 when the customer called in to report the problem we couldn't reproduce it.  So, they'll replace the switch, it will probably work and then we won't know if it actually fixed the problem until we go a few days down the road.  So please be praying this actually fixes the problem!!!
Even though we were supposed to leave yesterday we made the most of it and were able to spend more time with our friends.  Tim rallied the kids and directed a 'fencing their chicken coop' project.  Noah hooked up their new TV that someone had given them to all their various devices.  And I helped her organize her homeschool room.  We were very thankful to have a place to go while our home was in the shop all day, so all in all, I feel very blessed despite a potentially stressful situation!

Wow, what a story about the breaks. As Tim would ask me, "what is God trying to teach you in this situation?" All joking aside, I'm glad you are all safe!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
