Prayers for my Dad

So I get a call from my mom this morning, and she says, "I don't want you to be alarmed, but I just want you to know that we're at the hospital".  Yikes!  My dad just wasn't feeling right last night, and so he took his blood pressure, which was way up, and his pulse, which was way down, and to make a long story short, he is getting a pacemaker tomorrow.  So please be in prayer for him.  I really hate I'm so far away right now.  It sounds like it's a fairly easy procedure - they don't even have to put him under - but I still wish I could be there.
So the rest of the morning we finished up on some homeschooling, and then jumped in the car and drove into Nashville to meet my niece and her fiance'.  We had hugs all around as our kids hadn't seen their cousin for years.  Then Tim whisked the kids just 4 minutes away to a museum that they got in free with our MOSI passes, and I stayed and hung out to catch up with my niece and her fiance'.  We ended up spending like 2 1/2 hours together - it was so nice!  They dropped me off at the museum and then shortly after that we had to be kicked out as they were closing (do all museums close at 5pm? - why can't they be open longer?).  We've been to a lot of big cities on our trip and driven in a lot of traffic, and I have to say Nashville's rush hour is really not that bad.  So far, I think Chicago's is the WORST!  Great city - but hate the traffic!
Anyway, my dad's situation has obviously been on my mind all day, and I'm glad for a forum to unashamedly solicit prayers for him.  They will be much appreciated!  Oh, here are some pictures from today:

Glad to hear that your father's heart condition is manageable. We will keep him and all of your family in our prayers.

It is beautiful and sunny here in Valrico, even though it is in the low 60s, so very crisp and clear. Hopefully it will stay this way for your return.

Just love al the photos, and seeing your friends and family.

Just want you to know that your family is still being remembered daily in prayer. We will be praying that your Dad does just fine with his pacemaker. I was really impressed with the sweet, wonderful gesture you did for Nicole recently in giving her the opportunity to visit with her favorite author! Safe travels to you all as you head back to FL for Christmas!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
