Rubidoux?

That's actually the name of the city we stayed in last night and liked so much we are staying tonight!  So many famous names of cities around here (Riverside, Irving, Fullerton, Corona, etc), and we end up in a town called Rubidoux!  ahah!  Tim went fishing this morning and caught... a crab!  He threw it back, but not before I got a picture.  We roused the kids and jumped in the car and drove about 1/2 hour to where my 2nd cousin, Joanna, (whom I called Aunt Joanna) lives.  She invited us to breakfast, which was SO sweet, and we had a wonderful time finding out more about her life and sharing ours with her.  She and my mom were very close growing up, so I really enjoyed hearing about her life. She asked the kids if they wanted to see her iPad, which of course they did.  So she reached into a pouch and produced a note pad with eyes on it (see the picture below)!!  ahaha!  She said it even had apps, and proceeded to open it up and show us pictures her grandkids had drawn.  We enjoyed the time so much we ended up spending 3 hours with her.  We left and had been planning on going into LA and seeing the Hollywood sign and the stars on the sidewalks, but it was getting late and fresh images of the traffic we sat in yesterday played in our heads, and so we ended up coming back to the camper.  It was all for the best because I really needed to do some work for my job, so I got a good few hours in of that, and everyone else seemed eager to have a little down time.  The boys played games while Nicole did stuff on her computer.  Then Tim had to work, so the kids and I did a few loads of laundry.  I  talked Nicole into going for a walk with me and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains reflected in the lake here!  Then she and I ate our dinner outside on the picnic table while the boys ate inside the camper watching Wipe Out on TV.  That is such a boy show - not to dis any of you women out there who like it - I'm just sayin'.  Tomorrow we will head out to Yosemite.  But for now, pictures from today!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
