We so loved that campground. They were incredibly friendly and inviting. There was a family camp going on while we were there, and the leader came to our camper that first night we were there and invited us to their campfire sing/worship time that evening. So we went and had a blast - they sang a lot of campfire and worship songs I had forgotten about, and the kids loved learning them. Very cool!
Anyway, today's travel was largely uneventful except for a couple of things. We got a little lost twice, and the first time we ended up going down a dirt road for like 20 miles which caused my wash job on the car I had so painstakingly done yesterday go up in smoke (or dust, as the case may be). Wah! The 2nd time was when our GPS directed us to the wrong campground, and I still don't know how Tim turned the thing around winding through the narrow campground back to the hairpin turn to get out of it. The other minor incident came when I was driving and I pulled into a station to get gas. It was a tight fit, but I made it in OK. It was the getting out that I somehow snagged one of the gas nozzles with the tow dolly and got too close to the bar that was there to protect the gas pump. I thought I had smashed the wheel well of the tow dolly, but nothing was hurt and just a little backing up, turning the wheel, and moving forward maneuvers got me out of that one. Whew!
My friend, Laura, sent me a bunch of info on Colorado attractions, and a particular one was in Loveland, which was right on our way to Estes Park, and it was called Sculpture in the Park. Hope you enjoy the pictures we snapped there! Tomorrow we have a FULL plate (Rocky Mountain National Park, YMCA of the Rockies, Estes park, and the boys want to go fishing again) - hopefully we can get it all in. Until then, blessings to all! :-)
