So this past Friday morning, I'm planting flowers feverishly trying to finish before the photographer comes to take better quality pictures of the house for our listing (little did we know that was unnecessary), and I get a call from Donna at the Tampa Tribune.  Apparantly, someone gave them our names and thought it might make a good story about what we are doing.  I would love to know who did that, so if it was you, by all means, step forward!  Anyway, I was pretty surprised, but thought maybe the Lord wants our story out there.  So we arrange for her to come on Monday morning (yesterday).  She said she probably won't get a photographer to come out that soon, but that could be arranged later so they can have a picture to go along with the story.  So yesterday morning our doorbell rings, and there stands Donna with Jay, a cameraman for News Channel 8.  They want to shoot video to put us on the news show as well as in the paper.  And my hair is a mess!!  Argh!  So they were here for 3 hours for a 1 minute and 20 second story that will be aired probably sometime around the beginning of August.  We'll put the link to it here on our blog when it airs.  Anyway, the kids had a blast, and Donna  and Jay were both very nice and gracious.  Jay even did a tour of the News Channel 8 van for the kids.  It was definitely an exciting time.  I just hope we were able to convey our great God through this story.  We'll keep you posted on the details of when it will air when we have them!

I just read this mornings article about your letting go of things and letting God take you out of your routine and on the road. I believe He is stirring the hearts of His people to make a difference in His world.
I got up bfore finishing the paper to find your blog and bookmark it in order to keep up with your adventures for the Lord. And I will be praying for you along the way.

I just saw your story on TBO.com and as a fellow homeschool mom, I'm so excited for you and your family! What a great adventure - I'm one that wishes we could do that too. Thanks for not being shy about sharing your faith and for following God's lead. We'll be praying for safe travels for you all and checking in periodically to live vicariously through your trip. :)

When i saw your pic on the front page of this morning's Tampa Tribune, i took the paper to Betty Ruth, and then to Loveda who still remembers having your sons in her math class. Could Betty Ruth write to you on your trip? She is starting a new school in 3 weeks so i know she could use a friend to talk to. We will be reading your blogs and "praying w/o ceasing" for you on your travels. God bless. In His Grace we are, The Shoemakers

I am so happy for you guys! My wife and I along with our children dream of doing this. Right now we are talking about renting an RV next summer and hitting the road. With three kids in school we have limitations...Be safe and keep us informed.

God bless!

    Tim & Jodie

Tim and Jodie have been married since Nov. 5, 1988.  Tim is a retired Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and retired city of Tampa Firefighter.   Jodie is a happily laid off IBM/AT&T 21 yr veteran employee. So I guess you can say they're both retired, but still super busy!  They have four wonderful children:  triplets Nathan, Nicole, and   Noah born 11/16/97 and Nicholas born 5/16/99.  Nathan is at Trinity College, Noah is at Florida Polytechnic University, and Nicole is at USF.  Nicholas is an EDM (electronic dance music) creator and hoping to make a living from that!  We love and are so proud of our kids!
